[5-DayForum] Selling in this market

Hi all,

 

I just wanted to share my situation with you about this market and trying to
sell a house under the current conditions. My husband and I were going to
use the 5-day method to sell our house during the parade of homes in our
area. We decided to wait and not use the 5-day method because we were not
prepared to take the highest bid.

 

I think this point is important because if you don't believe what you are
telling the potential buyers they will pick up on it and you will not get as
much as you might be able to if you truly were ready to sell the house to
the highest bidder. We decided to just stick a sign in the front yard during
the parade and ask what we paid for the house. If we don't sell it this way
then we will look at the market conditions again in our area then we will
run a 5-day sale then or rent it out and wait out the market. 

 

I hope this helps some who are considering selling but are not sure if they
are prepared to take the highest bid.
