We have taken our duplex off the market - we had to drop the price so low we were losing our shirts and still didn't even have any offers. So when the 5-day idea came along we thought it might be the answer. The logistics are hard, though. For instance, if you don't get your 25 responses Friday night, what will you do?  You're supposed to cancel, but if you have flown in just for the event, that will be a real burden.
To answer your question, we stepped away while couples were conferring, but we were only about ten feet away, and ready to answer questions.
After you have done your sale, I would love to have a chat with you. While you're in Lehigh, if you want to check out our place, it's 1137-1139 Homer Avenue.  Last time we looked there was a vacant lot next door full of garbage. I reported it to the code enforcement people. If you do go by, perhaps you could let me know! It's hard to sell a house with a stink next door!

    Thank you for the idea about the chairs. I saw a family who sold his home and had a mortgage broker on hand. We talked w/ ours and they agreed to come over the weekend and even offered to bring table and chairs . Bill said he would not have a broker and waiting for his answer why .
    Did you have a closer near the bidding sheet when the husband and wife were sitting discussing or moved away when they put down their bids ?
