I must respond to your criticism of this forum. I have been reading and participating for a couple of months now, and I have found it extremely helpful, except for your complaining and the arguments you got into a couple of weeks ago. You generalize about everyone when you are annoyed at one person - if you do this in life it can be exceedingly damaging to you and to your relationships.
I don't understand your slap at Kyle - he has been nothing but helpful and positive and not been on here much more than anyone else. There have been lots of sellers (including myself) who have posted and contributed and had questions answered. I don't think I could have sold the house without the help of Bill and Kyle and others on this forum.
Your continuing request for a FAQ section has been considered and answered - all the answers would probably say "Read the book!" In a way, there is such a system - when Bill sees a question that he has seen and answered before he reruns the same answer - a reasonable use of his time.
I also wish to thank you - I believe it was you who posted the Rules of Bidding, which was very helpful to me, and quite in the spirit of this forum.

Bill,
I know you will not pass this message, but I won't pass without telling you this.
Although I learned something from your book, I am very disappointed with your forum, and they way you filter it.
I bought the book from Amazon.com, and I will be giving my review, that unfortunately is not going to be positive. I never got answers from your forum because it is monopolized by consultants and some brokers who are not willing to really help openly, but to catch some potential customers, and you allow it. Your forum is about Kyle and Kyle, a few other consultants, and from time to time desperate homeowners, whose questions are never fully answered or clarified, or simply filtered and never posted because they don't sound favorable to your book's sale.
I have sent couple of messages lately and you did not post them, which is discriminatory to me. All I was asking for were comments about my sale this weekend. I wasted my time and money on this method because it is not working for me, even less did I get amendments or support through the forum.
You will have to review your book to applicable present situations, and be more explicit on the advertising part, which is at the end the most important. A FAQ's link should be implemented so that people don't ask the same questions every single day, especially on how to unsubscribe, or if they are being deceiving or not with a reserve price, and some others. Someone said something very wise not long ago. Why don't you use that input to that permanent question? Also, if you don't want to place a FAQ's page, it would be imperative to implement a search engine, because using Google is not practical at all, and it does not work as expected.
The forum is supposed to be for people who have purchased the book, or are buying the book and trying to put it into practice, not for your eternal pupils who are all the time complementing the method, and using this as an excuse to have exposure for their own business. If you want to protect them, provide them with a link for consultants, and exchange that for support to the newbies.
Over all, very disappointing!!!!

Donahue and all the other shows I have appeared on are copyrighted material. I do not provide them generally, or point to them publicly because that is the surest way to have them pulled off the public airwaves.
A few words about that interview:
The couple on the show are the reason this Forum exists. They ran their sale a few weeks after the initial publication of the first edition of the book, and tracked me down when they ran into problems because they had not followed the method exactly.
Housing market conditions were similar to current conditions. The husband had secured a great job in Wisconsin, but they simply couldn't sell their home, no matter what they did, and were not willing to give the keys to the bank and walk away from it because they felt that was morally indefensible.
There were 19 foreclosures on essentially the same home in their neighborhood, the banks were offering the homes for $189,000. There were no takers.
They offered their home for the mortgage amount and were willing to take any loss just so they could get on with their lives. Buyers drove past 19 foreclosure and for sale signs to get to their home. They sold it in 5 days for $11,000 more than the mortgage, and $21,000 more than the bank offering price, closed shortly thereafter, and moved to Wisconsin.
