Thanks Doug ... there's not much more emotional than selling one's home; good market or bad.
 
That said, the neuropsychology of sales tells us that selling anything is a loss - and therefore less satisfying - than buying something, which is always a psychological gain in the short-term.

Hi Frank: No I don't think it helps those who bought a year ago. However, if all we did was talk about current news you would think that the bottom of the market has "fallen out" and we're in a depression.  That's just not the case. Additionally, I thought sharing that fact might help put things in perspective for those who bought 3 to 5 years ago, and are perhaps looking at this years "market correction" in the wrong context. Sorry if you took it the wrong way, but please consider that the post wasn't intended to be solely directed to you. Best of luck ... Kyle
