Bill,

As much as you like e-mail, how could you enjoy a vacation without it? I hope your computer guy isn't on vacation too.

There are quite a few of us who would very much like to have the templates your book talks about now, as it would save some typing. Our 5-day sale starts tomorrow.

Could anyone at your office e-mail pdfs?

Thanks,

PT

  Mike,

  This sure helps me. Thanks.

I'm on vacation, and don't have time to watch the list all the time. (Promise to wife.)

Your answers have been exactly right.

Remember that the bid sheets on the table are only for the initial bids. Everyone will get a chance to increase their bids in the round robin bidding. The purpose of having the bids on the table, open to all, is to develop credibility that the bidding is real. The more bids people see, the more they will believe that the house is really going to be sold on Sunday to the highest bidder. And if anyone is serious, seeing all of the bids will encourage a bidder to really think hard about the maximum they are willing to bid up the house to.

If you are doing a five-day sale, encourage all open house visitors to place somed bid--even $1. The more bids you get (even non-serious ones), the better it looks--as future bidders who see the sheet filled with bids don't know who is serious and who isn't.

    Hope this helps.

I am reading the book but it is vague on the bid sheets. Are they to be placed on a table with everyone to see the bids?--------Wouldn't this be like a silent auction?
