I would ask them to put in writing the reason why they cannot accept that
ad. Then I would contact my attorney. I don't believe they can refuse your
ad without cause.

Subject: [Possible SPAM] - [5-DayForum] paper won't accept HIGHEST BIDDER in
MA - Email found in subject

Hello,

So I called in to place my ad with the Boston Globe today.
Everything went fine until the last line when I said "HIGHEST BIDDER".

They wanted to know if I was a licensed auctioneer. I told them I was
not, that it was a for sale by owner.

He said they couldn't accept the ad. Due to those two words...the rest
were fine.

This is what I was trying to place:
SPENCER BY OWNER
         Waterfront
       4 Bed 1.5 Bath
      Well maintained.
   $99,500 or Best Offer
  Inspection Sat-Sun 10-5
Will be sold Sunday Night to
HIGHEST BIDDER (508)885-xxxx

Any suggestions? The ad in that paper is due 4:30 today. I know
somebody else did a 5-day sale in the Globe, but I don't
know what their wording was and I can't get in touch with them.

I'm going to go place my other classifieds ads which should
have no problem.

Thanks for your help! Yikes.

-Brent
