[5-DayForum] End of Day 2 in Lynnwood

Monica,

Thanks, Steve!

I'm working my way through the list backwards, so some of this may have
been treated previously:

You've already got your 25 by Friday night. That's over. You count
everyone -- including the weasels who are only interested if they can
buy your home for less than it's worth.

This clown falls into that category. But it doesn't matter. Most of
the people who respond are not expected to be the "real buyers". You
only need their initial response to ensure that you've placed your ads
where they are seen by all potential buyers, and that a sufficient
number of potential buyers view your ridiculous starting price as
sufficiently ridiculous to elicit their response.

No more than that.

The very strong response pattern you've already seen is all you have to
know in order to know that you should continue with the sale and begin
planning for your inspection over the weekend. You probably have a
realistic view of the true current value of your home. You may get a
little less, or a little more than you had hoped. But it will certainly
be within a real estate commission of what anyone else could get for you
at this time.

How many people will be helping you? How many copies of each sheet have
you printed?

You're going to get a lot of calls. Don't let any of them throw you.
Be honest with everyone. Don't worry about the fact that most of them
are not the "real buyers" in my terms. It's a given that most of them
won't be.
