[5-DayForum] leave furniture in 1/2 home or not?

My 5-day sale will be in two weeks. After reading
through MANY questions and reading the book, I have a
question:

Our home has a Mother-In-Law apartment (took the
downstairs mstr plus other room); anyway, the main
part of the house is empty of furniture as we are
living in the MIL apt. right now.  After taking
furniture out today to shampoo carpets, I noticed it
looks much bigger without any furniture, and since the
rest of the home doesn't have any, would it be better
to have COMPLETE house vacant? or leave our 'part'
with furniture? I'll be looking for some ideas!!
