[5-DayForum] Call Local Bookstores

Peter,

One more thing.

Call local bookstores now, and tell them to stock up on the book. Make
sure they get the third edition. People all over the country are having
bookstores trying to fob off the second edition saying they can't get
the third. Not true. They are just trying to get rid of books in stock.

Make sure you have 1 or 2 copies of the book at your sale so you can
explain to people what you are doing, show them that you're doing it "by
the book", and point out the buyer's section which teaches buyers how to
bid properly.

They will be bidding against each other, not against you.

People will read the whole book, cover to cover, while sitting in your
home, but unless they are in local bookstores they can't take the book
home with them during the bidding, so you want to be sure there are some
available over the weekend.

Amazon has plenty and can deliver in a day if there are no copies
available locally. If you have extras you will find you will have no
trouble selling them if they are not available locally.

Having books available locally for buyers is one of the better
investments you can make--especially if they are already in the
bookstores and you can simply send buyers there.
